It is recommended to use this plugin with PHP 7.0 or above. Also please note that the TwitterOauth library is not compatible with cURL 7.8.1. However it works perfectly okay with 7.6.8 which is the stable release currently distributed with Linux. Tweets are updated every hour by a wp cron task. Tweet related media is imported into your WP media library.
